What to Bring to Your DMV Appointment

Nothing is worse than finally getting a DMV appointment, then being sent home because you are missing a document. Here is how to arrive ready.

Bring proof of

  • Your identity (passport, birth certificate, or current license)
  • Your Social Security number
  • Two proofs of residency (utility bill, lease, bank statement)
  • Any forms specific to your service, completed in advance

For a REAL ID

REAL ID has stricter document rules - you generally need one proof of identity, proof of your Social Security number, and two proofs of address. We send every client a tailored checklist after booking so there are no surprises.
